The Blood Drive Volunteer is responsible for ensuring that donors have an exceptional donor experience at The Blood and Tissue Center of Central Texas blood drives. Volunteers provide an inviting, relaxing, comfortable and informative pre- and post-donation experience for our donors, helping to serve refreshments while also providing information about the many programs of the blood and tissue center.

Responsibilities:

Greet donors at the event, welcoming and directing them as needed.  Engage donors in professional, appropriate conversation, answering basic questions about the donation process.  Tend to donors at the conclusion of the donation process by offering refreshments. Provide correct information about the programs of the Blood and Tissue Center. Thank donors for their time and contribution, and encourage their return.  

Qualifications:

Friendly, outgoing, comfortable public speaking, flexible, and attentive.  Completion of The Blood and Tissue Center’s “Own It” Customer Service Training.
